Jonas Vital Silverio, a former Lynwood high school principal was recently sentenced to eight years in prison for sexually molesting four students. He served as their principal as well as their volleyball coach. Prior to this conviction, he had received probation for a misdemeanor conviction of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor. He was working at high schools in the Los Angeles area both times. It is unknown why the second school saw it fit to hire him with his record and calls to the school district were not returned. He pled “no contest” to the molestation of the four girls.
